- This archive contains a patch to update ReOrg V3.1 to V3.11.
-
- Only one file of the ReOrg V3.1 distribution is affected: the
- program file `ReOrg'.
-
-
- To apply the patch:
-
- - Assign `ReOrg' to the directory where your ReOrg program
- file is located (e.g. if it is in `Work:Utilities' enter
- the Shell command `assign ReOrg: Work:Utilities').
- (This assign is only needed temporarily to apply the patch.
- You need NOT put it in your user-startup.)
- - `CD' to the directory that contains the patch file and
- enter `execute patch.exec'.
-
-
- In ReOrg V3.11 several bugs that showed up after the release of V3.1
- have been fixed:
-
- - If the user moved an online-help file `ReOrg_<language>.guide'
- to a different location than `PROGDIR:help/<language>' ReOrg
- would only find it if the directory `PROGDIR:help/<language>'
- _exists_.
- In V3.11 you can place ReOrg's online-help file either in
- `PROGDIR:help/<language>' or in any directory listed in your
- ENV:AmigaGuide/Path variable.
- In the latter case the directory `PROGDIR:help/<language>'
- need not exist.
-
- - Sometimes ReOrg V3.1 allocated more memory than it needed - fixed
- in V3.11.
-
- - For FFS->OFS conversions ReOrg V3.1 sometimes displayed a
- `Disk full' error message even if the output disk was not
- full - fixed in V3.11.
-
- - If the boot disk (or any other disk with open FileLocks on
- it) was optimized in Two-Disk-Mode ReOrg V3.1 sometimes treated
- those FileLocks incorrectly. This could cause different AmigaDOS
- problems like checksum errors until the next reboot - fixed
- in V3.11.
-
- - If graphical sector display was switched off and the target
- disk used DCFS format ReOrg V3.1 could cause Enforcer hits and
- sometimes even system crashes - fixed in V3.11.
-
-
- This patch fixes ALL KNOWN bugs in ReOrg. If you find any further
- bugs in ReOrg, please report them to me ! Remember: Bugs that are
- not reported will probably not get fixed.
-
- My thanks go to SAS Institute for providing `SPatch' and `SCompare' !
